An overview of terms and policies.
Pricing & Currency
All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CDN) and are subject to change withouth notice. We will in some cases provide an approximate equivalent price in US Dollars (USD) or Euros (EUR). Fluctutation in currency exchange rates will affect published & quoted prices.
Reservation Policy
This policy is determined by the type of product purchased - some are instant purchase, or instant deposit plus balance at 45 days prior to departure. This will be advised at time of booking. For all Travels with John & Kate tours, a non-refundable deposit is due within 7 days of booking. The full balance is then due 45 days prior to departure and is also non-refundable.
Airfares
Airfare payment is subject to the rules and conditions set by the air carrier. Fares may change without notice due to fluctuations in currency exchange and/or fuel prices or airfare increases.
Flight Schedules
Airline flight schedules & routings are subject to change at any time. Flight times are shown on your ticket and itinerary Travellers should check arrival/departure information before leaving for the airport.
Professional Service Fees
All tour product bookings - including coach, cruise, all inclusive packages, hotel only or car rental only - will be charged a one time professional fee of $30.00 CAD plus 7% GST per transacton. There is only one charge if several products are involved on the same file. Service fees for air only bookings vary with the carrier and/or supplier used. This fee will be quoted at time of initial inquiry.
Changes & Substitutions
After completion/payment of your reservations, changes may or may not be allowed by the supplier or air carrier. Allowed changes will be subject to the rules & conditions set by the supplier or air carrier being used. In addition, an administrative fee of $30.00 CAD plus %7 GST will be applied to all changes to tour product bookings. Changes to air only bookings will be subject to administrative fees at time of change.
Cancellations
Travel products are usually subject to cancellation penalties if cancelled after purchase. The penalties vary with supplier or air carrier used. These penalties will be advised prior to purchase for the travel product concerned.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you obtain adequate insurance for such items as trip cancellation/interuption, foreign medical assistance and care, and baggage loss or damage. We are fully licensed to provide the above coverages.
Force Majeure
'Travels with John & Kate' or 'Personal Travel Management' shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment of any nature whatsoever to you or your travelling companions or group members resulting from events beyond our or our suppliers control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lockouts or other labour disputes or disruptions, wars, terrorist attacks, blockades, insurrectons, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, floods or acts or restraints imposed by government authorities.
Liability
'Travels with John & Kate' and 'Personal Travel Management' have taken great care to select the correct air carriers and suppliers, however we act only for the companies providing transportation or other services and assume no responsibility for liability in connection with any conveyence on land or in the air which may be used wholly or in part in the performance of its duty to the passenger. We shall not be liable for any act, error or omission, neglect or default in any vehicle, neglect or default of any company or person conveying the passenger, damage or inconvenience caused by schedule changes to air or land transport, and loss of, or damage to passenger articles and baggage.
In the event it becomes neccessary or advisable for the passengers comfort or welfare, or for any reason whatsoever to alter the arrangements of the itinerary, such alterations may be made without penalty by 'Travels with John & Kate' or 'Personal Travel Management'. Additional expenses, if any, shall be assumed by the passenger.
